The new age Apartheid

The new age Apartheid

A Poem by Nisreen

The divide of zones
A Kilimanjaro of cold toes

Storms in the lightening bore
Tunnels of light

Sourced form of clouds
Feelings have immersed

Single tab items
Falling in love

Asking the rainbows days

Oh you Fateful future
Playing cards with me

Invoking fluidity
Gentle you be

Rich in tasteful plea

Evoked if any
Additions to be

 Fly away to this city
Traffic lights blinking green

Out of Jupiter

A Venus of seasons
Kisses float to the bold

Have we worn the hat
Thinking in apartheid

Dissolved are those lines
South African sunny skies

Treating the wounded
There on the sidewalk

A learning heart
Believed more than taught

'The new age Apartheid'
Precious Seconds,
What a great write! So many colors, emotions eluded. For me it intoned between the pleasant and known things of life which made sense and future unseen, therefore mysterious. Life is full of color and learning and the excitement of what we have to be careful as we may at times maneuver what is a battle within our day to day. Loved the title...'the new age apartheid' ....a new age. new experiences.....apartheid something to figure out to grapple with within loss, even death. I would love to learn what inspired this as it pretty amazing. Hope I was not way off in interpretation.
Blessings,
Kathy

Like the journey this goes on. I think you're saying, we're all South African. It's okay to fall in love with each other.
Where have you been. Missed your perils of wisdom.

Who doesnt flirt With the future .... Thank you so much Owen
Love how fate is playing cards with the future. We can and do have a say in how our lives turn out, some just have further to climb than others, for no other reason than geography.
Love how you ended here, the learning heart believed more than taught is the inspiration within us all. If we know in our hearts how things should be, then that is the first step of knowing which direction to head for, in hope of making real change.
Wonderful and thought provoking write, as always.

i try real hard lol
the sidewalks you wrote about here I used to walk......they spoke a language of hate.....fortunately, for people like Nelson Mandela, fixing those broken roads with forgiveness and love helps a bit.......but evil has a way to rear its ugly head, no matter how much we try. We had rules who to love. And how could anyone dictate that? Love has no boundaries......

Hopefully, those sunny skies of love can endure in the hearts of a new generation....

Thank you for taking me on a worth-while trip down memory lane......hope you could find those sidewalks one day...:)

i wonder how much is really taught today...and in schools, how much of life is taught and retained...

we get some facts, accept them, get a grade and move on...but how much thinking outside the box really goes on?

as the Moody Blues sang "Thinking is the best way to travel"
but there is less travel today than in past, i am afraid.
