Brought to Light

Brought to Light

A Poem by Nisreen

You ask
The pen finds a release
Out of the seconds lived by
Some fine lines are alive
Given a burst of oxygen
All the spotlights came on
Silently screaming of the detail
Wired into your memory
Engraving a place in your world
Dimmed out instances
Find a source of being
Just like
They come to life
In the reader evoking a feeling
Others remain onto a long forgiven shelf
Losses of rendered memory
I create them
to be

Just to write. Hoping the words flow into something you didn't think belonged to you. Yet, in front of you it stands proudly.

Lovely that you write and share your writing! The pen must indeed find a release, as does the soul.

Serendipity,
"Brought to light" is so refreshing! This poem gives the voice that says; "just be yourself and write honestly." I struggle with writing at times and this did me so much good. I found my self thinking: Be brave and just give what is in your life and thoughts. The opening line was so good too! "The pen finds a release out of the seconds lived by." This is not a simple line but an invitation, almost a daring to give away the inner thought, many times personal..............Bless you so much..Kathy

This is beautifully written. Perhaps, the best description of human feelings, emotions and experiences can become immortal through words. Simply superb my dear friend.

This is beautiful and really relatable for many, if not all, writers and poets. Great work!

This beautifully describes the process of writing, and every writer should be able to relate to what this poem expresses. Every poet (or at least most of them) strive to have their emotions bleed out onto the page, and for the reader to feel that emotion...it's truly the greatest gift a poet could have. I like the imagery in the lines "Silently screaming of the detail / Wired into your memory / Engraving a place in your world"...it's almost nostalgic how you described that. Well done.

Thank you ........ Blushing here
Just as a poet writes to the sounds of the pendulum, so do we, who craft our own, endless worlds. I love how ephemeral your poems sound.

Thank you Robin ..... pleasure to read your review
Whether on a shelf, in a cupboard, or on a billboard, they have been freed to live again, just waiting to be rediscovered. And even if the feeling they invoke in others is different, they still live once more. Beautiful write.

You're welcome Curious :)
just like in Ars Poetica...

"poems should not mean but be"

we give them life, and they are on their own...living entities interacting with readers in their own way...
