The merciless Grab

The merciless Grab

A Poem by Nisreen

The squandering of the value of human life
Thrashing the blue sky with red

Screaming in daylight is the young child
Crying out to the dove filled skies

The innocent ones winter cloud
Raining the souls of human kind

The limitless speeches floating thin air
The great ones have descended in smoke

The twist of a girl's curls lay in the rubble
A handkerchief wrapped around a finger

For tears would never account loss
Merchants of our time have sold it all

The danger to loss of love
Replaced by a cult of nothingness

The leaders of snake like act
Poisoning the vacated room

A position of needle point
Reading figures of illness

The blind of heart
Slaughtering a beautiful skyline

Peace is what this world needs in a big way. I agree with what you are saying. Peace is what the world needs now, we should destroy the concept of war. We all bleed the same blood. We all need food. rooves over our heads. Who needs war? Seriously who needs war? Not me. NOt you either, we want the dove to fly with the olive branch to offer peace to the world's leaders. We need it now. Forever we should have but one dream. Peace.

War happens when there is an attack that calls for a form of defence ..... anything outside of those.. read more
Such things break my heart and I shall never accept war...as always, poignant and right to the bone...

Thank you Poppy :)
Being against war & violence myself, I can relate to your message. I think the flow is a bit uneven, as far as expressing somewhat disjointed ideas that go together, but don't exactly feel like a cohesive flow. This isn't a bad thing becuz it reflects the nature of war & violence, being raggedy & messy & uncertain. You've used vivid analogies & descriptions thru-out to show the horrors in a slightly muted way (not intensely graphic, that is).

Thank you .......................
the workings of men will destroy us all, they make decisions without our approval, and it always leads to war, because war, war never changes.

Thank you for stopping by
Wow! The first line is my favorite part because we humans tend to take human life for granted. Though we can feel the frailty and importance of life, it tends to be forgotten. Some see another person merely as a number, a background noise, but as the poem points out, life needs more appreciation of itself. I hope this makes sense!

It does .... thank you so much for your words
Very deeply meant write...

It pictures the brutality of inhumanity in this present world where blood and blood is everywhere... Your choice of words were magnificent and they really hit home... Wow!!! Superb message and shows the reader the destruction around him... Very thought provoking write...

Hi A deep and interesting read. War I find rather a bore as it does not give life but sheds devastation, and is really a guise for a mass murder. I find war an atrocious way of solving a problem. I find war is a greedy act from strong forces that want to take and not negotiate. I find your poem captured many aspects of this. The detail of the little curly lock of hair shows the brutal destruction of innocence.

Well done :)
