White Skin

White Skin

A Poem by Nisreen

The world into purity
Along a lace cover

I saw your eyes
Staring at me

Your pull
On a vein

This heart

Cloud of blessing
Our act of breathing

My soul saw the light
Of a new

Singing through agony
Longing for your everything

Your fears
Made my chest thunder

Shudder

I held you
Warming away a cold thought

Your fingers
Fit perfectly into mine

As i lost a gasp of air

Tune into a life melody
We sat in a moment

No frame could hold

All handles fell off the hook
As you spoke words

To never be understood

Telling words
Never to be heard

A language of sight
Speaking in white

Glowing into my hands
The smile i select

Across my red lips
You remain

Upon a prayer
Raised to the sky

A song
in me

This is absolutely beautiful. I love poems like this where the words seem to 'dance' all on their own--where even if you don't fully understand the descriptions, you can feel it. This piece filled my heart with warmth...great work.

This one popped up in my newsfeed and I'm glad I found it. Smooth and soft language, such beautiful and sweet description of love, acceptance and trust. Lovable piece. I enjoyed reading.

you are always welcome
beautiful love poem----wrapped in each other, hands clasped together...holding another to warm away a cold thought...that is musical in itself..

nothing like a song...and this is a melody of love...
i also feel a poetic sense in this ...of words written on onion skin paper...
the paper being the hands that hold our poems...

our songs...

Thank you so much
I love the symbolism through the colors like white for purity and red for a passion that can leave in an impact.

This seem too much like someone we can neither hear nor see reporting things meaningful to him/her, in terms meaningful only to that person. But readers aren't seeking to know that someone they don't know has been moved by unknown events. They want you to make THEM feel.

Remember, your intent never makes it to the page, and the reader must assign meaning to the words based on what the words mean to THEM, based on THEIR background.

Given that, What can, "A language of sight Speaking in white" mean?
