Moon Day

Moon Day

A Poem by Nisreen

The softest rays came
Light gently touched your cheek

I wished

A simple moment to be
My fingers ran through your hair

While tender leaves touched
The thought of you today

Running light of happiness
Blossoms the kindness of you

Roses grew the edge of imagination
A scent on your finger

Every gentle note weightless in motion
Landing onto the pillow

As once counted words float
In pure silence

There you are
With a morning sun

Open palms sat on cheeks
Filled with innocent light

Guiding one that is lost
To hug the hours to come

Kneeling closer

I Love You

There is so much beauty in this poem, a quiet romance that does is no less passionate despite its serenity. Beautifully written!

Thank you Tomas :)
perfect blend of metaphor and imagination...almost like emily dickinson might write of a fantasy love, she had many....

i really like the line "To hug the hours to come"

my imagination took a trip there...and i didn't want to let go of the hug.
