The lights go out

The lights go out

A Poem by Nisreen

in the shiniest veil
of a tender night

We all go down
just the same

the struggling father
after a long day

the youthful woman
staring a peace of mind

the lonely child
turning around in bed

the relocated family
finding warmth on a cold day

Your physician
fought cancer tonight

A teacher wrote
down his memories

The artist threw
a splash of paint

a George
that gave up Jane

All lights go out
just the same

The witty writer
puts down his pen

once again a true piece of work. no matter who we are, where we are, our lives, cultures etc doesn't matter, when it comes to it, as you say, all the lights go out just the same. great work

Thank you Frank
Nisreen, this is a true masterpiece. If I could, I would give this a 101 rating. You open your thoughts to all of us. You make apparent the struggles we all go through in our lives, and it is that you craft it beautifully. My favorite work; truly excellent again! :)
