The clocks ticking

Minds left by some screen

The lines we push

Hearts we shove

The gratifying meal

Wrapped up in sulfate

The fast wires

Reaching you anytime of day

A caffeine version

of papers flying in the air

Speed dating

Tindering along 

The LOL of our BRB

even words have shortened

No slow down signs

in this madness of fast food souls

the malnutrition

of the heart

everything is expected to be instantaneous these days. i feel weighed down by it, like I'm not allowed to live life at my own speed. we are losing everything natural and organic.. your message truly encompasses all aspects of life. We are rushing through an already short life span YOLO-ing the entire time, stuffing faces with poison, lungs clogged with smoke, eyes flooded by materialistic wants.. minds, spirit and meaning lost in the hustle.. hopefully you awaken some souls with your writings Nisreen! you certainly get mine going! :)

Using our passion for fast food is a metaphor for the way we want life to be cut and paste to fill any void quickly...hurry, hurry!! Our addiction to tweets and selfies and having a phone that does everything but cook dinner for you...texts replacing conversation, socialization.
