Priority - inspired by my dear friend "Jacob"

Priority - inspired by my dear friend "Jacob"

A Poem by Nisreen

The keys went on top
of my piece of cheese

The shoes that were meant on my feet
somehow were under my head

I walked out in my PJs
To attend a meeting

The cab i aimed for
Stopped for a train

Money i set for rent
Ended up paying for a ring

My words went for a fight
Instead of bringing peace

Hands made to love
Slapped an innocent man

Legs running for the bus
Tripped the old lady passing by

Beauty in every leaf
Ended up in a piece of paper

Humor to lighten life
Was made to mock

A heart meant to carry
Dumped half the city

This was one of those "no matter what I do everything goes sideways" days. The repeating of such contrasts has the reader hoping that something happens as it was intended. A very clever way to pique the readers concentration and anticipation. Very nicely done, Nisreen. take care...dan

the faster we try to go the more we can be obstructed ..such frustration can build and we do explode it from time to time on an innocent ... it is a battle ...for renewed hearts are meant to carry .. jaded we do give up at times ... pity is the soul that makes it their life style ;{ thought provoking insightful and honest poetry girl!

.
A lovely write as always, Nisreen.

It is so easy to get distracted in modern society. To lose sight of the big picture because we are obsessed with all of the little trivial things in our lives.
I love the title. Priority. Something we need to define and place at the head of our life's dinner table.
Profound work.

Really ............... thanks .......... dont be tearful always smile :)
You've got me thinking. Started a little silly- got pretty serious at the end. Makes me think if we don't pay attention to the smaller things and how we prioritize them, maybe we can become disastrous.

Thanks Dear ..............
First & foremost, this message is VERY VIVID becuz of your well-chosen & detailed examples. I've heard this complaint before, but never has it been expressed so well, with such delightful word pictures! I was thinking about writing something about the way I keep getting waylaid by distractions, so that I go thru my day never finishing each thing I pick up. But now you've done such a great job of showing us this, I think I'll wait until another time! *smile*
