Raphael

Raphael

A Poem by Tom Chan
"

A religious poem for the angel Raphael.

"

O Come forth Raphael
Messenger of God
To save the creations of thy Father
Kiss the palms that are nailed on the crucifix

We pray to thee, O Raphael
Sweep away evil with thy shining garb
Thy head crowns with garlands
Thy feathers glow like the morning star

Come now, come now Raphael
Wake us up with thy Golden Horn
Soothe the lands and seas with your tune
Leave us thy feathers and light when thou sing
