Insomnia

Insomnia

A Poem by Tomi

Such a long night it is,
sleep escapes my eyelids

My fragile heart bleeds
through my pores it sips

How could I be so love stricken
and my offer of love not taken?

Or could it have been said better
If Shakespeare helped write a letter

But even he won't find the words
to express the depth of my tots.

To the only one that matters,
who brings my heart laughter

But instead of laughter, doubt lingers
Knowing not what tomorrow offers

Yet I lay awake,
 awaiting daybreak.
 maybe its folly,
maybe its hope
who knows?
