Peace in our landA Poem by Tomiinspired by the grief from the terrorist attacks in jos and abuja, Nigeria.Once upon a peaceful town home to many a great mind the joy of a nation pride of a population
But alas! The peace is shattered by villains who kill in the name of god leaving our hearts in tatters
Blood sucking vampires wreck havoc like electric wires
Fear pervades our land as cannibals roam our lawn
Bodies litter the streets from mines planted in secret now vultures cover our skies
But we can only look to the heavens say a word of prayer to the one above that there be no more loss of life we whisper loudly in our grief let there be peace in our land. © 2011 TomiAuthor's Note
