...Never Knew

Years ago,

when first I met you

didn’t realize what was ahead

cos I never knew that today,

I’ll be in love with you.

 

You were far away,

but my heart longed for you

I knew I was into you

but you never knew

Cos I kept them all in.

 

Many times I called

wanting to tell you my inside,

to share my world with you.

But you never knew

Cos all I said was “nothing”

 

When finally I told you,

I wrote down all the words

so you can see my deepest thoughts

but you never knew,

Cos all I blurted was “I like you”

Now that I know

That what I feel isn’t mutual

I still hope for a miracle

but you may never know

Cos I may not send this

Taking a chance on love is a huge risk, especially when you want to tell that person how you really feel about them. Excellent work on the tugging of the heart. Loved it

This was beautiful....truly inspiring to me. I know how it feels to instantly fall in love with someone and having them not know...the fact that you want to tell them, that it makes your chest hurt. This is undeniable and has inspired me, thanks and wonderful job!

agree with Jeff. This is totally depressing, but I want to read more. But the ending was perfect, I was like, "What?! What happens next?"
We should all be brave enough to express our love... because we don't want to have regrets in the end, and just hope for the best. We should all "send our love letters" in this case, poem, because that is the only way we could set ourselves free and let ourselves love unconditionally.
