The world is in trouble and Thomas needs to save his friends

CHAPTER 5: Saving everyone

The group arrived on Earth in the middle of a town, it was the one Thomas had taken Orig, but everything was wrecked and the sky was cloudy red.

“So what now?” asked Gam.

“My friend Asa lives near here” said Thomas “Let’s go”. They ran fast to Asa’s house that was quite near Thomas’ old college, the door was broken in so Thomas walked in cautiously.

“Asa” he gently called.

“Thomas?” answered a quiet voice, Asa was in his lounge packing a bag of what looked like weapons; knives, forks, BB Guns and more.

“What are you doing?” asked Thomas.

“Going to save Matthew” said Asa “He’s being held hostage in the college”.

“Then let’s go” said Thomas “Asa, do you seriously need those, remember who you are”?

Asa put down the bag and said “You’re right, I am Asa Flame the Fire Mercenary, I’ll use my fire skills to save him”.

“By the way” said Thomas turning to Gam and I “This is Gam and I, Orig’s sisters”.

“Gam and I?” asked Asa realising the names “Put all three together and you have Origami”.

“Hey, you’re right” said Thomas “Can’t believe I never realised that”.

“I’m surprised” said Gam “Most people realise it immediately”.

“Oh, well” said Thomas “Let’s go save Matthew”.

“O.K” said everyone and they left for the college.

The front door was guarded by a muscular, black shadow, obviously one of Lore’s monsters, Thomas nodded to Asa who nodded back, Asa went up to the creature and put his right hand inside the shadow, it suddenly caught alight and evaporated.

“That was amazing” said Gam “You can control fire”?

“Yep” said Asa “I’m the Fire Mercenary of Saviour Union, whereas Matthew is the Water Guardian of Saviour Union, Thomas is our leader, the Star God”.

“Is it open?” asked Thomas determined to save Matthew, Asa tried the door and it was unlocked, they walked in and were straight away attacked by two more shadow monsters like the one before, Asa put his hands into a ball shape and a fireball appeared in front of him, he launched it and it struck both of them at once, they were gone too. They hurried along and heard a commotion in the main hall, they went in and found Matthew tied to a chair surrounded by eight more shadow creatures.

“I’ll handle this” said Thomas in a serious tone.

“You won’t believe this” said Asa to the girls “But Thomas possesses powers equivalent to a God”.

“No way” said Orig looking at Thomas, thinking how her boyfriend could be so strong. The monsters lunged...and fell in a second, Thomas hadn’t even moved.

“How did he do that?” asked I.

“Thomas is so fast you cannot see him move” said Asa “He can easily go around the world in a second”. Thomas untied Matthew, he got up and they shook hands.

“Thanks, Star God” said Matthew.

“No problem, Water Guardian” said Thomas.

“Hey” said Asa coming over “Good to see you”.

“Fire Mercenary” said Matthew “So we’re together again, huh”?

“Along with Orig and her sisters” said Thomas as the girls came over. Thomas could see both Gam and I blushing, they probably fancied Matthew and Asa.

“We’d better save your family” said Orig.

“Let’s get to my place” said Thomas “You coming, guys”?

“Definitely” said Matthew.

“Saviour Union, unite” said Asa, they all nodded and rushed through the streets to Thomas’ flat.

The flats were almost completely destroyed, the walls were deeply cracked, the windows were smashed and the doors were on the ground, the stairs to the upstairs flats were also cracked. They investigated the area but found no sign of Thomas’ family, until, they found then at the front of the flats, they were all on the ground...dead...Thomas’ parents, brother and sister-in-law, gone. He got on his knees and sobbed devastatingly. Orig went to him and held him from behind, Thomas held her arms and they sat together for a while. The others walked away to give them privacy.

“This is awful” said Matthew “Thomas really needs Orig now”.

“I can tell he’s really upset” said I “He must be in shock without a family now”.

“Even though he had Orig” said Asa “We have no one left”.

“What?” asked Gam confused.

“Our families are also dead” said Matthew “I was with Asa before being captured, we were burying them in the graveyard nearby”.

“E-even though you have no one” said Gam “I can be with you, Asa”.

“A-and...I can be with you, Matthew” said I, the boys looked at the girls and realised if Thomas could have a relationship with the alien Orig, they could have a relationship with her alien sisters.

“Thanks, both of you” said Matthew.

“We’ll happily accept you” said Asa. Thomas and Orig returned to them, he had calmed down and was ready to deal with Lore once and for all.
