Meeting Orig's father, sisters and the first antagonist

Chapter 3: The king of Fold

 

Thomas awoke the next day but couldn’t feel Orig’s body, she wasn’t around, he looked everywhere, every flat, outside, even around town, but she was nowhere to be found.

“Orig!” he yelled over and over again, but no reply was heard, Thomas was really worried and devastated at losing his first girlfriend, but then, he found Lance out the back wounded.

“Thomas” he said barely “Orig...was captured...by her father...last night”.

“Has she gone to Fold?” asked Thomas.

“Yes” said Lance slowly getting his strength back “Thomas, I suspect you wish to save her”?

“More than anything” said Thomas showing a lot of determination.

“Then I shall teleport us to Fold” said Lance “That is a special power I possess”.

“Very well” said Thomas. Lance held his shoulder and they disappeared.

 

They reappeared in a castle behind a pair of closed double doors, the walls and doors were all made of paper, literally.

“You will obey me, my child!” yelled a deep voice.

“That’s King Fold” said Lance “Ruler of Fold, listen, normally I’d go against starting a riot, but this time I’m making an exception”.

“What’s the plan?” asked Thomas.

“We burst in and make him give her back to you” said Lance “I may be loyal to the king, but I’d never go against the love between you and Orig”.

“Thanks, Lance” said Thomas happy to have Lance on his side.

 

Lance burst open the doors knocking out two guards at the same time, three more charged but got slayed by his sword.

“Captain Lance” said the king on his throne who was a bearded, muscular man “What is the meaning of this”?

“I demand you give Orig back to Thomas” said Lance as Thomas came to his side.

“This boy is a regular earthling” said the king in a demanding tone “I will get no land from him”.

“You care more about territory than your own daughter?” asked Thomas.

“I always will love my older daughters” said the king pointing to two armoured female soldiers by his side, one in blue and one in yellow “But I care nothing for a worthless daughter like Orig, she has no talent at all in war”. Thomas saw Orig on her knees crying before the throne, he rushed up and hugged her.

“Thomas?” she asked calming down “Is that you”?

“I’ll never abandon you” said Thomas “I promise”.

“Enough!” yelled the king angrily “Either she finds a husband who promises me land, or I kill her”.

“You monster” said Thomas, just then, his eyes started to change, his pupils turned orange.

“So what if I’m a monster?” asked the king “The best ruler is a ruthless ruler”.

“No” said Thomas to the king’s shock “The best ruler is one who trusts and respects his people, including his daughters, I should know, I am a ruler as well”.

“What?” asked the king “You, a ruler, yeah right”?

“I lead Saviour Union” said Thomas. This shocked everyone, Saviour Union were famous for its reputation in saving lives and protecting the innocent.

“Even if you are the leader” said the king “I care not, Gam, I, kill him”. The females in armour jumped down and held their swords at Thomas, but they then lowered them and faced their father.

“Father” said Gam the blue armoured girl “Why can’t you let Orig stay with her love”?

“Unlike you, we love Orig” said I the yellow armoured girl “She is lucky, we have no love, because you forbid it from us”.

“You dare betray me” said the king “Land is all that matters, who cares about love”.

“Makes sense” said Thomas to everyone’s shock “You always were a madman, weren’t you, Lore”?

“What?” asked the king in disbelief “How do you know my real name”?

“What do you expect?” asked Thomas “I created you, you were one of my failed creations”.

“I killed you” said the king “You’re supposed to be...” before he could finish, Thomas was behind him and stabbed him through the heart.

“It’s over, my creation” he said and Lore fell, and evaporated into dust.

 

“He’s dead” said I “You killed him”.

“I killed an imposter” said Thomas and walked over to the back of the throne, he pushed a button and the throne moved to reveal a trap door, he opened it and pulled out a man a little older than Lore, it was the real king.

“Where is that madman?” he asked in an elderly voice.

“Relax, your majesty” said Thomas “I killed Lore, he won’t harm you ever again”.

“Who are you?” asked the king.

“He is my fiancée” said Orig coming to Thomas’ side.

“You are human, correct?” asked the king.

“Yes” said Thomas.

“I am indebted to you” said the king “You saved our home from a madman” he looked at Orig “And I see my youngest daughter has fallen for you, after what you did, I happily accept your marriage”.

“Thank you, your majesty” said Thomas.

Lance came over to them “My captain, I am entrusting you to protect their relationship”.

“It shall be done, your highness” said Lance bowing. He took Orig’s hand and Thomas’ shoulder and they teleported back outside Thomas’ flats.

 

When they went inside, Thomas and Orig immediately sat next to each other on the bed, both of them relieved to see each other.

“Thank you so much” said Orig “I can’t believe you came to save me”.

“I’d never abandon my girlfriend” said Thomas “You mean a great deal to me, you’re my love after all”. She kissed him on the lips and he returned it, Lance walked out to let them have some time to themselves, as he walked out, Thomas and Orig heard a huge explosion. They rushed out and saw Lance completely burnt, he was on the ground in agony.

“Lance!” yelled Orig rushing over “What happened”?!

“I happened” said a deep, familiar voice, standing by the lane wall was a man in evil black armour and wearing a tall golden emperor’s helmet.

“Lore?” Thomas was shocked “But I thought I killed you”.

“A psychopath like me cannot be killed so easily” said Lore his voice seemingly to get deeper “I am soon to be this planet’s destructor”.

“You can’t be serious?!” Thomas realised his creation was worse than he had made him.

“Say so long to this world” said Lore and suddenly, a huge field of dark energy engulfed the world, Thomas grabbed Orig’s hand and she held Lance’s, within seconds, they all vanished.
