The appearance of two more main characters

CHAPTER 2: Thomas’ friends

 

When they returned downstairs, Orig started stripping and trying on her new clothes, soon after, she decided to wear the sparkling pink dress and pink cap, since Thomas seemed to like that outfit the most. As they spoke, the phone rang, luckily the phone was the same upstairs and downstairs, but then the sound of upstairs ringing came on, Thomas answered it.

“Thomas” said his mother on the other side “Asa to speak to you”.

“O.K” said Thomas, Asa was a friend from school and was actually one of his best friends, he wondered what he wanted.

“Hi, Thomas” said Asa on the phone.

“Hey, Asa” said Thomas “What is it”?

“I was wondering if me and Matthew could pop over” said Asa.

“I don’t mind” said Thomas “How long will it take to arrive”?

“Around twenty minutes, we’re getting the bus” said Asa.

“Alright” said Thomas “I’ll see you then, bye” and they both put the phone down.

“Who was that?” it seemed Orig had overheard as she was at the door.

“My school friends, Asa and Matthew, are coming over to see me” said Thomas “I’m sure you’ll get on with them”.

“I bet I’ll get on with anyone who’s your friend” said Orig “Twenty minutes, right”?

“Yeah” said Thomas “You are nosy, aren’t you”?

Orig walked right up to him and said “I want to know more about you” and then, out of nowhere, kissed him on the lips, Thomas was in deep shock, that was his first kiss. When she pulled back, they stared at each other’s eyes, and then went to Thomas’ room to wait.

 

Twenty minutes past, the doorbell rang and Thomas opened the door, sure enough, his friends were there, Matthew Tidal and Asa Flame.

“Hi, Thomas” said Asa.

“How’s it going?” asked Matthew.

“Better than you believe” said Thomas “Come in and see what’s happened”. They walked into Thomas’ room and thought they were seeing things, they’d never seen a girl in Thomas’ room before, sure he’d been friends with girls before, however, both of the girls he was with were completely bonkers, they use to tease and mess around a lot, making Thomas uncomfortable around them.

“I’m Orig” said Orig coming to them “I’m Thomas’ girlfriend”.

“I’m Asa” said Asa.

“Name’s Matthew” said Matthew.

“Isn’t your brother Matthew?” Orig asked Thomas.

“They’re simply different people with the same name” said Thomas.

“Wow” said Orig “That’s a first for me”.

“You’ve never heard of people with the same name?” asked Asa thinking that was unusual. Thomas explained Orig’s origin and they were amazed that they were talking to an actual alien. They spoke for hours with each other and they learnt a lot about Fold, Asa and Matthew listened with open interest, after all, they liked aliens after being inspired by Thomas’ stories, he would write them on his computer and show them to people, he hoped to publish them but it was hard to finish them.

 

It was approaching the evening and Matthew and Asa returned home,

“How were they?” asked Thomas.

“Really nice” said Orig “Matthew was quite humorous and Asa was very friendly, of course, you’re the one I love the most”.

“Thank you” said Thomas happily.

“It’s getting late” said Orig.

“Hard to believe they’d been here all day” said Thomas. Orig got into her pajamas and got into bed, Thomas followed suit and they fell asleep, arm in arm.
