The final stage of grief

The final stage of grief

A Poem by Tom Q

Finality announced stoically

Endless time for dreams taken

Acceptance embraced heroically

Denial collapses as I awaken

No misery for this life’s lot

Or wringing hands in despair

Discovering an interwoven plot

This moments value I now share

Such forewarning given to so few

If distracted brethren only knew

This was an excellent poem, I feel like the ideas that you presented in it are far too complex for me to grasp. You have a very eloquent voice

"Finality announced stoically " and "Acceptance embraced heroically" are wonderful phrases. You have a true knack for turn of phrase.

As with "Bronze Bubbles" I had trouble reading this rhythmically, the meter just didn't scan. I love rhyming poetry, but have a personal bigotry for metre and rhyme.

No criticisms, realy. Good Job. I liked all of this.

Oh, and I am SO a distracted brethren, my friend. To have that mindset that you describe, to see the moment and experience the moment as it comes, is a gift. There are times I can do this, but not for a long, long time. I suppose it is a concious decision each morning as you open your eyes, yes?
