Homeland

Homeland

A Poem by Tom Q

Oh beautiful and spacious sky

What questions you must have

Progress hastened our demise

Blisters on forefathers hands

Calluses on the souls of children

Deliver upon us your torment

Curse the self seeking we worship

Deny us as we deny our families

Are we beyond redemption?

Self absorption that entertains

So puncture our dreary dreams

Scheme to vile scheme.

I really liked where the "Ten words" led you. Very nicely written
and a pleasure to read. ~ Helena
