Dearest Super Benji,

My only child. I did not have much time to write you before I found out I was going to see the angels. Please know that I love you more than anything in this world. There will be times you feel down and that life is unfair and that you are alone. When this happens you come back here and read this letter.

The only thing I have to give you are the super hero powers that were given to me. The first is the shield and wave of protection. There will be times when people hurt you on purpose with their words. I am sorry to say that there are many, many people like this in the world.  When you encounter someone like this I want you to imagine an invisible shield goes up around you. This shield will make all of the nasty, hurtful words bounce off. People who are not nice to you do not belong in your life. You must use the wave of protection on these people as soon as you find out their true nature. Tell them “See you later, bye” as you wave and walk away. This super power will work if you use it.

The second super power I want to give you is knowledge that life is quite wonderful, especially if you take it moment by moment. Do not allow yourself to live in the past or in the future. If you ever find yourself anxious about something that has happened or is about to happen, here is what I want you to do; take three deep breaths. Then put something in your hand. Anything it does not matter. Describe to yourself every detail of the object. Your powers will then bring you back in the moment where you belong.

The final super power I want to give to you has to do with love. One day, a person who makes your heart sing and your head spin will come into your life. Respect that person as you do yourself. Hold on to that love as best you can. But, if they do not want to stay with you and you part ways here is what you do: wish them only good. Do not ever let hatred replace that love. Pay special attention to this power for it is the strongest of them all.

These are the biggest powers I can give you. The best way you can remember me is to remember what I have told you. I may no longer be with you in body but I will always be by your side.

Poppa
