Black Dog

Black Dog

A Poem by Tom Q

Dark mood and sarcastic pretense

Brooding like yours so attractive

You lust to be seen as intense

Holding mostly empty minds captive

Your misery is again our peril

On pity and praise you feed

How your world is oh so terrible

Victim again we see you bleed

Listen and we will stop the pain

Chain the black dog of calamity

Know that the humble do not complain

The pond shows a reflection of vanity

Be a friend and give to another

As your own head is a terrible lover

This is excellent! There are some really profound lines in here:

"Be a friend and give to another
As your own head is a terrible lover"--This was my favorite =]

"The pond shows a reflection of vanity" And this too.
Not sure who it was written for, but I see many who might fit quite nicely =]
