A 10-7-6 Haiku

 

I have come to know Jones quite well you see

I met him when I was young

Loved by all so it seemed

 

My alma mater and his were ivy

Scholars of bold ambition

Our future well planned

 

My house is bigger your car is faster

But where have you been lately?

Happiness has soured

 

Show yourself Jones or have the rules been changed?

Empty excess is the point?

I never knew you Jones
