LightA Poem by Tom Qwish I gave this to her before she died
Inside the light shines But it gets cloudy sometimes I am distracted by the sound of thunder Often I second guess and wonder Did I tell you how much it meant? For I remember you being there In the sunshine and the storms When the world was pleasant When it was too much to bear Yet I only noticed your criticism I now know why you disapproved I now understand the somber mood For it was your soul bearing the brunt As if to shield me from yet another stunt My self absorbed fog My righteous delusion Now, I am learning my last lesson from you Tend to the light inside let the outside draw its own conclusion A message easily ignored but very true The power of selflessness I will keep that light burning bright And I have you to thank for all its might.
