ReflectionA Poem by Beautiful IntentionsPerfectly Imperfect...She isn’t the most Beautiful of women There are... Things Things that she would change If her body were a canvas And she held the brush She would paint herself As she sees her true self In her mind’s eye Even now passing hands Over places long healed Across scars fingertips Can no longer feel But are still there Always there… Lingering beneath the skin
No one said she is perfect Nor has she ever claimed to be She has always been… Okay Just okay Never too little Yet maybe too much Of a bit of everything
As she is a victim To her own emotions Times when her mouth opens Faster than it should Feeling like a passenger To her own chaos A kite Caught in her own storm When she hurts Those she loves the most Not meaning too Never meaning too Just as much along for the wild adventure That is an untamable her
No one said she is perfect Nor has she ever claimed to be She has always been… Okay Just okay Never too little Yet maybe too much Of a bit of everything
She cries When her heart is breaking Will defend Forever fight Too long… Much too hard For what she believes in And make mistakes She will genuinely apologize for Knowing when she is wrong Yet will never live down The quaking rumble of thunder The deafening slice of lightning Or the wounds left by a sun That burns too fiercely For just anyone to hold
No one said she is perfect And she is exhausted of trying to be She has always been… Okay Just okay Because whatever happened to Just loving another Caring for someone…
