Do you remember the dream? It had began the moment you and I Had looked deep into the other's eyes Yet it wasn't the first time that I had fallen, was it? No... Not the first time that we had so collided Back then just words sprinkled across maturing pages The occasional giggle and gasp of likewise minds And I never would I have thought Not even for the briefest of seconds That I would again have been so blessed as to find you
Now unable to turn away from our dream Seeing us together as clearly as I wear the passing of time How you would take my hand in those quiet moments alone When it's just you and I and endless possibilities Bearing witness to all the love of this world in a fleeting glance When the smile upon my lips, the stroke of my tender fingertips Matches the warm, cherishing glimmer in these eyes These eyes that have gazed upon stunning you Standing in the shadows... Bathing in the light... And have been left forever breathless by the graceful vision
Dance with me once more amidst this beautifully undying dream Taste of the summer sun upon soft, yearning skin Laugh aloud in a tangle of limbs rolling about autumn leaves Grasp me tight, hold me close to venture the winter's ice And in the spring I will pick for you the first of baby blooms from our garden Share with me the many splendid seasons until I kneel to one knee Then share with me a hundred, a thousand more To always feel the gentle brush of our lips with every blushing sunset To not once miss the comforts, the serenity of arms in the morning So you'll never forget that I am of you, as you are of me
Do you remember the dream? It had begun the moment you and I Had looked deep into the other's eyes For not even time has dared to tamper with such priceless gifts, has it? No... Still so lost, so found within the immense emotions, so decisively yours Still looking forward to the stolen days spent twined beneath sheets The compassionate caress of loving lips along teary cheeks To stand beside you through the unknown, facing every bump As lovers such as you and I will always have the other to lean on And step by step, moment by moment, build a home
Full of burning desire and romantic intent..a love poem indeed. Your words caress like 'the gentle brush of our lips' and stir the emotions to the endless possibilities before to awakened lovers. liked the structure and the return to 'Do you remember the dream?' in the final verse. Full of warmth and delight and the prospect of days beneath sheets... I hope it is so... I hope...

Wow. This poem is beautifully written. I love the last stanza:
¨Do you remember the dream?
It had begun the moment you and I
Had looked deep into the other's eyes
For not even time has dared to tamper with such priceless gifts, has it?
No... Still so lost, so found within the immense emotions, so decisively yours
Still looking forward to the stolen days spent twined beneath sheets
The compassionate caress of loving lips along teary cheeks
To stand beside you through the unknown, facing every bump
As lovers such as you and I will always have the other to lean on
And step by step, moment by moment, build a home¨
As I was reading this I kept thinking to myself that the author "you" were giving it all up and that's a great thing. Lot of us can't do that. I like the how the beginning and end stanzas lightly mirror each other but are straightforward in their different perspectives. Enjoyed this. CD
do things such as this always last? or is it the memory of the most perfect moments, what we compare our lives to and those perfect moments with that perfect person, who never had the chance to destroy us.. that is the standard we expect.. I love your writing..

For me... For me it always lasts... Thank you so much, Deer. Your reviews are simply captivating.
What a beautiful way to express the truest emotions of love, the word choices, the concept all of it are amazing... Gosh! I missed reading your works but I will come back now everyday... I think this poem kind of soothing to heart, like a dream that you watch with your eyes open and a breeze of love touching your heart... So beautiful... It left my heart feeling the joy and thoughts of innocent love...
Note: in the third stanza 'admist' could be 'amidst'?
A beautiful write frnd...
Sincerely
Dhiman
