Tell me once again... Tell me that you don't inspire awe...
May I cast the spell? May I show you? Close your eyes... Just listen... As every word I speak is true Every word meant for you
May I tell you of windows so sincerely blue? How they so glimmer of laughing lights Whispering of such bittersweet stories Sweeping me from floating feet Eyes that have looked upon this soul and have seen As ocean tides wash upon distant, smooth shores How your gaze so soothes with every rise and fall Discovered in a glance, where the warmth, the life resides
May I tell you of satin rainbows smelling of coconut? How the sensuous locks cascade about your graceful features Tumbling to your cheek in such a way that I have been struck speechless Left with no voice to say... "You're beautiful." Nights when I dream of curls splayed across my pillow Wake to their briefest tickles, giggling into the masses When I have so ached to extend daring fingertips If but only to test the softness once again
May I tell you of the constant allure of feminine curves? Steal your breath as you have stole mine with the shape of a woman Times when I have trembled, shook with the sheer desire To lose myself amongst the provocative slopes Tangled legs... Pleasured toes... Slow hands which memorize To silence doubts with a single fleeting caress, single fleeting gasp Take you into these unquenchable arms for all that you are Where only sweet lips can weave a fiery tale of ones lust, ones undying passions
May I tell you of a heart, of a soul, of a mind which unfolds like flower petals? As these are the delicate pieces of you forever claiming me For all the times that I have watched you stumble and rise again Those moments when you have bit back tears to take these hands in yours The timeless embrace of your love a shelter against thundering storm clouds A smile upon my lips, a flutter within my chest, a skip to my step And I would be lost without you... Without the day and the night As you are all that can be wished for and more
May I cast the spell? May I show you? Close your eyes... Just listen... As every word I speak is true Every word meant for you
Another piece that breathes passion and trembles in anticipation of fulfillment. The repetition of phrase and structure gives the poem a lyrical quality, so fitting to its rich images of sensual delight, of lust and passion. Deeply romantic and packed with pleasure, every word hitting the mark.

Your reviews are always so encouraging, Jibs. And my gratitude immeasurable.:)
Lucky loved one...this poem sings the music of love, desire, and takes on the wings necessary for this relationship to last. Enjoyed reading the questions most of all.

Thank you dearly, Elodia... Yet I have always viewed myself as the lucky one.:)
I really enjoyed this. I love your word usage. There is a nice flow that takes me through the whole piece. There was no rush here and I enjoyed taking the time.
Wow, it's beautiful. And it became more beautiful once I read it aloud. Not only the frequent repetition of the 's' sound that added to the gentleness of the poem was amazing but the imagery (that wasn't limited to visual but auditory and olfactory as well) and everything else, too. It's very romantic and it really gave me an impression that the persona and his/her lover are indeed, very much in love. And oh, the repetition of the first stanza too! Magical and very romantic.

That was also what our professor in Poetry told us so... :D You are very welcome!
I'm not really sure how the title relates to this piece, but I still enjoyed it. The imagery was absolutely gorgeous. You described nature and love (or lust) in such a calming way. Each line was truly breathtaking. I was planning to copy and paste some lines from the second stanza and tell you how much I liked them ... but then came the third stanza ... then the fourth ... then the fifth ...
I must say, the one who you wrote this for (assuming that you wrote this about someone in your life) has to be flattered by this piece. You've described her so beautifully ... really warmed my heart. Well done.

Ahaha.:) Something that perhaps only I can understand, and now that you mention it I am like, "Hmm. He's so correct.":) Will rethink it. And thank you so much for your kind words! Truly inspiring they are, William.
The softness that comes from what appears to be a barrier of words ... musical !
