Why Me?

Why Me?

A Poem by Jane Lockheart

My blood starts to rush

The voices in my head are screaming

I want to hurt someone

I don't care who

My temper is set off like a bomb

Everyone knows not to piss me off

It never ends well

I need to cause someone else pain

To ease mine

I clench my fists

Cam tries to make me clam down

I feel the tears falling

I hear the voices

I can't remember what happed

Why am I mad?

I kick a chair out of my way

Why can't I remember?

Why do I get like this?

I need help

I wrap my hands around my head

Rock back and forth

Why?

The voices

They arn't saying anything

But they won't shut up.

honesty and sincerity of emotions pour through in every word. you are not alone in your struggles. its hard not get angry and let the things, people, circumstances, etc. of life get the best of us. life is hard

A very interesting and real look at the effect of mental illness, can have on a person. As a person, whom suffer from mental health problems (depression, anxiety attacks, panic attacks, and PTSD flashbacks), I can relate to the poem. Sadly the meds used to treat us, are toxic to our bodies, hence many go off their meds, as a result. Thank you, Jane, for bringing this problem, to the public's attention.
