The ILlusionist

The ILlusionist

A Poem by toby thomas

Once upon a time there was an illusionist Dark Lamdell “Demon” Ricks.

Rabbit in a hat, colored threads, a pigeon up his sleeve were all to him like little tricks.

He wanted to change the reality and make this world an illusion.

He was deluded delusional and stuck in a maze in his head.

A maze which made the world look vague. His mind was making him an act of his own.

An illusion was being played on the illusionist.

He was living and playing his own life on the stage. A living illusion of a man in despair

The roar of the audience was like a trickster’s heartbeat. He was ready for a show of his life.

He took his last breath on the stage but was it for real.. a trick an illusion or moved his death into a dream.

You won’t know as it was just another magic trick.
