Starting Over

Starting Over

A Poem by Tobias Søgaard
"

I was snuck up on recently by this, which was a surprise to be sure, but not a particularly welcome one.

"
It hits as hard
as the first night of frost,
makes no sense
I swore it off:
everything
that ever had to do
with love

Relentless
he stalks his prey,
Cupid with his arrow
of sweet poison.
Try to run
as fast as you want,
where love is concerned
we're all outgunned.
