That Guy

So a while ago I was into this girl, but as it turned out she started dating someone only a few months before we met. Oh well bad luck I guess. Dealt with it by writing. Don't actually hate him though

Muttering softly, under my breath,
"I hate that Guy, hate him like the pest"
Constant reminders of his continuous succes
Constantly condescending; I'm a bloody mess

That Guy's perfect in every way
The life he lives, the girl he dates
His stature, status, stamina, strength
His chivalrous, civilized confidence
And like it wasn't enough he's charming, the sod
Makes it near impossible to hate his gut

Still I hate him - I really do!
They met each other a bit too soon
But if I'd met her first and gotten down on one knee...

That Guy'd be the one who was jealous of me!
