Breaking the surface

Breaking the surface

A Poem by Tobias Rasmussen
"

A non-expected return

"
Ice cold. Freezing. Eating... Eating my soul.
Water so chill.
A slumber I fell ill.
What am I doing and what is the goal?

To me you are still lost.
However I can find you.
Look behind you.
Too much of a cost.

Air, I need air.
Fresh and living.
My thoughts - sinking.
Water driples from my hair.

The surface is broken.
Water to my face.
A different place.
I am alive and awoken.

The surface is broken...
