Her lips are ruby red

How could I control my desires?

and the feelings to which they have led

She didn’t lead me on.

She didn’t leave no hint.

the seal on my heart became undone.

she slowly became my everything.

Invading my heart, my thoughts.

Sleeping, dreaming about her.

I knew all my faults.

I couldn’t decide; it was a slur.

So now I’m writing, fighting.

I am opening my heart,

so I’ll do my biding, it’s frightening.

I guess I’m not very smart.

Forgetting logic, all reason lost.

To dream about a shared future,

never thinking about the cost,

A price beyond measure, a mighty treasure.
