Night

Night

A Poem by Carolina A. Evans
"

This is the old version of it, the new version is called "Night After Loss". I want to post this one to get opinions before I post the new version.

"

Night

The crickets chirp softly in the distance
as day slowly begins to fade.
The night begins to awaken,
its moon and stars illuminating the midnight blue sky.

The silence is peaceful and comforting,
as the breeze slowly picks up around you.
Absorbing itself into your hair and skin,
softly whispering a sad song.

As the stars shine brighter,
you close your eyes tightly,
thinking of that one special wish,
and hoping they can make it come true.

Feeling the moon's glow all around you,
you feel yourself being surrounded by light,
soaking in all of the energy,
being embraced by the night.

As night begins to fade, you look down,
saddened that this peaceful moment ended too soon...
but have no fear, because as day fades,
night will awaken once again.

Your poem flows smoothly, like a late summer's night, where lovers just want to cuddle with each other. Not sure, where you would improve things, but that's is just my opinion, here. Thank you for sharing this with us.

This was an awsome poem! It flowed from beginning to end seemlessly. It cleary brought across the feelings of being out in that cool night air of the south. Durring the summer i bet. If you improved this at all, I think i would be to much in awe of your talent, For this work is fabulous as it stands!
