Night Flight

Night Flight

A Poem by TM "Ree" Tate
"

Wanting to stay in the shadows of my dreams

"
Deep in the night, trying to sleep

envisioning you by my side

the warmth of your skin..oh I weep

to touch upon this icy heart of mine

setting it afire, eyes aglow and blind

with passions intense, trembling in my need

Dousing my desire, is the cold light of day

Plucked from the fertile ground of my sleeping soul

an unwanted weed, just tossed away

longing for the shadows to return,

where with you I will assuredly stay

living in this dream world aflame and vibrant

all troubles and pain banished far away.

The land of the living is too brightly lit

This world of suffering I prefer to quit,

to close my eyes and drown in the darkness

Swallowed into the the raging whirlpool of night

my life finally relieved of its starkness

You and I, in our eternal passionate flight

Your words are composed under such a lovely light that I am out of words to say. I figure you are a angelic poet who knows how to manipulate her sacred gift.
