Life's Buffet (humorous)A Poem by TM "Ree" TateA flip lil piece about lifeThe buffet of life moves at a clipping pace-
Friends, family and lovers all have their place. A big helping of joy, and a dash of hope; A portion of sorrow, and a titbit of woe. I am replete with the multitude of dishes; I step up and choose some savory wishes! I run out of room on my once bare plate, But I have yet to choose the perfect mate. Not wishing to empty my dish, I look around- Sitting at the table, my loved ones are found. As I divide my repast with these of honor's sake, I realize that the more I share, the more I can take! Adding a little zing, lots of zest, and a bit of spice- Working to complete my life, all for one low price! TM Tate May 16, 2011 © 2011 TM "Ree" Tate |
