Oh, Troubled SoulA Poem by Thea M. Joyrepost
Oh, troubled soul
rest your head in my lap for a while. I'm not here to save you from the demons hidden within the shadows of your mind, and I can't deliver you from the chains you feel pressing against your throat. I won't pretend to have the answers to the questions that haunt your days and steal your nights. Oh, troubled soul let me stroke your hair for a while. Close your eyes and let it all melt away, if only for a moment. Let my touch serve as a shield to keep the demons at bay. Breathe a sigh of sweet, gentle relief pushing away the pain. I'll be your comfort for as long as you need. Oh, troubled soul rest your head in my lap for a while. © 2008 Thea M. JoyReviews
