To Love WinterA Poem by tamemeiA Shakespearean sonnet.
That I could learn to love a Winter's day
And kiss it's lips before they start to melt To put the barrel of the gun away To pull the thorns, to play the cards we're dealt. I watch the frosty morning thaw the night And wonder if you see the glist'ning dew To shield our eyes from daylight burning bright To grasp Time's hands to liquify with you. O eagle in the Western sky, dive low! Stretch out your wings and teach us how to fly The feathered head can feel the Aether glow And beat it's wings to drown in azure sky. I grasp your arms to warm the Winter cold Harden as one, a clear and icy mold. © 2014 tamemeiReviews
