Fly Away With Me

Fly Away With Me

A Poem by Tammy Lundgren
"

A poem about unrequited love.

"

Exquisite smile, rouses childhood memories;
of a big world through little eyes.
Gazing upon your countenance
I return to a special, cherished place;
yet, were I to stare too long tears would fill my soul.
What a heavenly sight you are!
Chocolate eyes like teddy bears;
but were they to fill with tears
my heart would collapse
beholding even an ounce of pain in them.
Golden hair, reminiscent of the soft, safe
locks to which I held as a child:
as I would beg God for the storms
of life to fly and pass me by.
With you I journey to special places
and escape all the pain of this world;
the wounds of the past disappear--
when I go away with you.
Fly away with me, love,
let's leave the horrors of this life
as we fade into the sunset.

I liked the line Chocolate eyes like teddy bears. I don't really have any advice or anything to teach. I don't really think I have much to teach. This poem is really good anyway. I think it's very passionate.
