Waiting For Father Christmas.A Poem by Tom&MaryFestive poem.Waiting for Father
Christmas By Thomas Stevenson
and Mary Mercer The night
before Christmas is cozy and exciting, The blaze of
the fire is warm and inviting, Festive cheer
all around, Waiting for Santa
Claus to ground, Hot chocolate
and takeaway for all, Watching Kevin
boobie-trap the hall, “Time to get
in bed” says Mum, But we’re too
excited for him to come, In the night
we heard a bump, And that’s the
thing that made me jump, Sneaking down
to see who’s there, On my own in
my underwear, Big black
boots and long white beard, Suddenly he disappeared, I ran upstairs
to tell the rest, They said it was
absolutely west! “go back to
bed” they all told me, So I went ‘toilet
to have a wee, Why don’t they
believe me? If only they
could see. © 2020 Tom&Mary |
