Why This?

Why This?

A Poem by tlhisler
"

I think we have all been there

"
It's a fading light so far ahead
I crawl and scrap and can only bow my head
It's too far away, I can't do this I said
you want me to bleed and be filled with dread

Child stop and hear my voice
I am wise and kind so rejoice
Aye I placed you here by choice
I don't kill, destroy and this isn't My vice

But I am here with blisters that bled
I am barely hanging onto life by a thread
I pleaded for mercy till my heart shred
You took a life and threw my fingers she fled

My darling trial by fire
My child strength by desire
Things look bleak and they seem dire
Keep faith in Me and I'll pull you from the mire

The light is brighter and near my finger tips
Resilience crawled up from my toes to my lips
I rest in Him trusting in his iron grip
I know I'll be okay and I will survive this short tip
