Who Am I - SP II Aug 14, '08 1:54 PM
for everyone

Mat 24:6  When reports come in of wars and rumored wars, keep your head and don't panic. This is routine history; this is no sign of the end.

Sleep, precious one

The sheltered oblivion of innocence

Passes quickly

In the revelation of darkness and light

Mat 24:7  Nation will fight nation and ruler fight ruler, over and over. Famines and earthquakes will occur in various places.

But consider the intimate whispered things

The divinity of DNA

I made you to stand unshaken

Uncompromised

Unforsaken, Child I am with you

Mat 24:8  This is nothing compared to what is coming.

The celebration of death

Macabre mutations of sacred and profane

Black and white will blur

And you will cry alone

Over gray shadows of lives

That might have been

Mat 24:9  "They are going to throw you to the wolves and kill you, everyone hating you because you carry my name.

But you have the courage

To stare death down

I am your forever

Each beat of your heart

Remembers my promise

Mat 24:10  And then, going from bad to worse, it will be dog-eat-dog, everyone at each other's throat, everyone hating each other.

Eyes blind they stare

At the mirrored reflections

Unable to recognize

The sanctity of a human life

But you’re not among the walking dead

Mat 24:11  "In the confusion, lying preachers will come forward and deceive a lot of people.

One way, one truth, one life

This mantra whispered

In the cacophony of choice

Residue of lost souls, multiple paths

To a destination of perpetual separation

Just follow me….

Mat 24:12  For many others, the overwhelming spread of evil will do them in--nothing left of their love but a mound of ashes.

The conditional provisions

Bound, gagged and shackled

This was never my way

Mat 24:13  "Staying with it--that's what God requires. Stay with it to the end. You won't be sorry, and you'll be saved.

Sleep precious Child

I will wait for you in your future

When you know its not in the victory

But the struggle

You will find me where I’ve always been

Within

I bring you Peace.

Love

Dad

Author's Note

TL Boehm
Its late in the day - and I trust the only ones who will come and read are the precious ones who either get me or let me be what I am - without passing judgement. I'm not popular. I'm not even smart most days and so often I am unprepared for this battle called life. So I just come to you, heart open - soul naked, and I hope you don't dismiss me as weird.

wow - I love how you mix your poetic gift with the scriptures here. A message here for everyone; Christian or not truth be told; I agree that the warning is definitely here but also there is an underlying light of hope as well. what a beautiful prose you've written here.

*hugs*

P.S. Ok...you're a little weird hon, just like all the rest of us :-)

To dismis you as weird would be a mistake on the part of those who enter your life. Your writing shows that you have quite an interesting thought process. The construction of this piece is very well done. I like your stanzas, and the way they seem to speak privately to the tiny soul as the scripture, so dark and full of brimstone washes over the scene. Well done, it was a pleasure.

Enuring ....keep pressing to the mark set for us
each one of us

This is provacative and beautifully done...

"Matthew is one of my favorite Books"..
I have 66...does that mean I have no favorites ?

( this blew me away )
"One way, one truth, one life
This mantra whispered
In the cacophony of choice ((((( I Love that )))) !!!
Residue of lost souls, multiple paths
To a destination of perpetual separation
Just follow me.

Mat 24:12 For many others, the overwhelming spread of evil will do them in--nothing left of their love but a mound of ashes.

My husband & I were discussing how America in it's pursuit of "Liberty"
has become its' own prisoner....

The entire concept of being "politically correct " ....lies mortal an morbid in the American belly like a hernia about to strangulate....

I will embrace all the ...bounries of Gods word in that ...it ALREADY freed me...
promise and hope DO lie ahead to for those who believe

This is gorgeous and shows the ultimate intimacy between the Lord and his children on Earth.
I loved your formatting of a modern letter from God with little Bible verses between to represent his ancient words of the same thing. Nicely done!

"But consider the intimate whispered things / The divinity of DNA " -------it is amazing, I thought recently, when I look at my ancestry.....that we survived?? This is simply amazing that we are here... I am thankful... You said it here so wonderfully and brought those thoughts again to my mind.
"The celebration of death / Macabre mutations of sacred and profane / Black and white will blur / And you will cry alone / Over gray shadows of lives / That might have been" -------------------this is already happening now. We are middle in it! We cry daily, when we listen to the news. It is scary. Really scary. Few oligarchs rule this world... and play ping pong.....with our beliefs....we are manipulated by our politicians, by media...we do not know what's going on. It might come worse. This is just the beginning. See, Russia is not amused. Not at all. They play a dirty game. The end of cold war came for they were totally bancrupcy...if not this 1989 change, they were risking a civil war. They still don't pay superannuations and government personell regularly... This is a dirty game... and the other one -is that with oil ressources... It is not about religions and beliefs: but about ressources....they fake us daily..and we can't see nor do anything about it in the case we see... we are just paralyzed.
"And then, going from bad to worse, it will be dog-eat-dog, everyone at each other's throat, everyone hating each other. " -------do we not already have it? I mean can I say I love my colleague, when I need to be more proficient than him.....for my boss wants me to? How could I say.....I love him= This is the really wise, that's the capitalistic trick to doing it.

THIS ONE REALLY REALLY MADE ME THINK. BEAUTIFUL WORK!!

Thank you so much for taking time and reading my verity poem, your words are much appreciated. Hmm well I do respect everybody's belief.. I know that one could feel harmed they call it blasphemy....on the other hand... there is the artistic freedom... Thanks also for your understanding, Tammy. You have been missed!

Tammy, I love this poem. It is very vivid and holds nothing back... reveals what's coming and still leaves you with a sense of peace at the end. And I love the imagery and feeling in the lines "Black and white will blur/And you will cry alone/Over gray shadows of lives/That might have been" Amazing. :)

I do believe this was very powerful and inspirational. It's something special to bring strength and depth to words that already hold their own. I enjoyed it!

This is so beautiful and calming, Tammy. I love the scripture added between the stanzas. Just one question ... which version of the bible are these from?

Thank you for giving me a breath of peace today - I needed it more than you'll ever know.
