My Berlin WallA Poem by tj808
Romance in Durango whinnied in the dark
still Breeze. A cut out lay waiting for redemption ‘You took away my teenage years’, it said Imagine patchouli oil burned. Brothel creepers Squeaking. Then you have emotions screaming. Empty coffee cup crystallized cold. Aromas lost to unclean weary carpets. The clutter juggled fear Hearts leapt, hope squabbled. Child-like hands Grabbed, ‘That’s mine!’ " It always was " Resigned Dejected. Sons lost to fast moving clouds. Crowds gathered Laughing cajoling urging life at any cost. Senses lost to Why, why, why. It just is. A sea god told you. Mary, maudlin, sings to choirs of trembles Dice thrown waiting with baited sigh. Doubled up. Trebled. Caught in a cross fire of no man’s land Beckoned to walk that barbed wire " hooked. Fish flapped aimlessly drifting abroad. Dazed. So that’s how it is, eh. Slough into that one. Slough. A meagre existence battling neighbours. Riots Far removed from Dylan wailing Mexican Peppers. So the Berlin Wall came tumbling down To Alpha males parading in selective tombs. Then, A dirty silence hung in a cleansing howling wind. © 2012 tj808 |
