Why Is That Pear Smiling?A Story by Titus McGuireA fun little story about pears and monkeys.I don't know how it happened, honestly, I don't. We were crossing the Gobi Desert, me and my expidition, when out of the trees they came. I have never seen such a sight, and I hope never to see such a sight again as long as I live. They were pear shaped monkeys, with evil little smiles that kind of resembled possessed clowns. My expidition consisted of 12 men originally, but once we were done fighting these unusual beasts, there were only 5 of us left, and a woman. I'll never know where she came from, unless it was out of the trees with the monkeys. Anyways, to make a long story short, we all ran for the boat that was waiting for us, and we sailed away, never to return to that place of horror. The moral of this story, never eat a pear if it has a face on it, it might be a monkey. © 2010 Titus McGuireAuthor's Note
