I Wish

A poem of love.

I wish that I could be the one you loved

The one who could keep you safe

   And sheltered from the storm

 

I wish I could be the one you dream about

Through the long and lonely nights

 

I wish I could be the one you see

Every time you close your eyes

 

And I wish I could be more than I am

So I could be deserving of you

 

But most of all I wish you happiness

In all that you do and everywhere you go

In everything-I wish you love

This was written for someone special, who may never know my feelings for them. This is what I want, this is how I feel, this is my raw emotions in poetry.
