As Goodbye Descends

A romantic song of love and forever.

Moments of spring light the winter

Moments of love rule the night

When I remember you there

Author's Note

This was inspired by the anime 'Kanon'. which has a very beautiful storyline. I've always wanted to write a song like this, and this one took quite a bit of time to write. Anyways, let me know what you think, I put a lot of heart and soul into this one.

Wow, 'tis beautiful! "When goodbye descends" means days of winter nearly come to an end. It's something that insinuates a new beginning with an old flame---a reunion. I like the touch of romance demonstrated in this poem wherein there are warm moments on cold nights. The first stanza would have to be my favorite. This is a wonderful piece of writing!

But somewhere in the dark is a good line. I have been thinking about this, if this is a personal poem I see you in the dark writing as family waits for you. On the other hand it could be a more strait forward remark of the speakers inability to "see" what was going on.

I didnt catch it the first time that about every other stanza points down, just as goodbye did. Very nice. There is more I have to say about this but I want to let it rest in my mind for a day or so and then go over it again.
