This about the end of everything we know, all life as we know it, and the chance beginning of something else...
The sky so black,
Streaked with lines of fire,
Liquid Diamonds,
Making their way
Towards the ground.
The fires roar,
With Never before seen fury.
The winds howl in objection,
No longer the silent jury,
The seas rise up in their rage
And assault the land.
This is the beginning of the end,
This is God's hand...
In the streets people scream,
In the streets they die,
The earth trembles beneath them,
The stars set foot on the ground,
And all bursts into flames.
This is the end,
Of all that is vain and petty,
Of all that is evil and wrong.
This is the end,
Of everything.
Rich or poor,
Black or white,
This is your end,
There is no escape,
You cannot take flight.
Cities and Towns,
Drowned under furious waves,
Thousands die, crushed under the inevitable force,
This is the end,
And there is no escape.
Savage Winds,
Rips the trees from the earth,
Rip buildings from their foundations,
Rip people from their lives.
No survivors,
No one left untouched,
No one left alive.
This is no punishment,
Nor is it a bitter reward,
This is the end,
The wheel of life,
Churning through it's last turn.
The Earth opens up,
To swallow what is left,
To crush those few who escaped,
Beneath boulders so great.
And finally, when EVERYTHING is gone,
When everyone is dead,
The Earth is nothing but a barren rock.
But somewhere else,
Somewhere far away,
Somewhere untainted,
A virgin land of opportunity,
Something stirs,
Something farther away from here than we could ever imagine,
Something unlike anything we have ever seen,
And the wheel life,
Splutters into motion,
Once more.
This was written WAAAAYYYYYY before that "Spore" game was released, so if any of you nerds even THINK about trying to say that this is poem based on a VIDEO GAME, I will take you down....
