LET ME BE

LET ME BE

A Poem by CHRIS ANDES
"

I was lost

"
Soft tender lips
let be thy wine,
to your life's so cruel
may I be your shoulder?
cuddle on the rainbow
let days be ours,
so time passed care not I
to be your history,
tremblin' as the wind
let me be your breath,
between your lies
the truth be I
touch me not to my soul for
I afraid beggin' you to be real,
intertwine with existence
still I mere livin' a dream.

I like the second stanza. It could probably stand on it's own, even without the first six lines. Either way, it's different and cool.
