In My Head

In My Head

A Poem by CHRIS ANDES

In my head
there came a knock
a huge black cloud
known as PAIN
cracking and thunderin'
to get in...

gettin' over my heart and soul
suffocating that yellow sunshine
with such dark memory
known as PAST...

until suddenly it melts,
started to drop and drop...
...and drop...
slowly fallen like rain.

I don't know why
but that knockin' stopped ...
..turned into beats of the drum.

Rain is a violin singing ..
..makin' me FLOAT
....STARE
....LISTEN
...and SMILE..

and there was you...
........
..............I mean LIFE.

You have a very delicate way with words that's very in depth and amazing. They're like soft petals from springtime playing across a sketchbook patterned with all of life's up and downs. Your words are deep, passionate. And amazing. This is beautiful and your talent shines through brightly. It takes me around and back to the past and into the future. You have a way with your words that makes sense. That is solid and beautiful. I love it

I like the incorporation of pictures:)
But your words are so powerful, I love:
"a huge black cloud
known as PAIN"...and how you use colors to describe everything :3

yes, and depending upon the reader :)
I don't know why
but that knockin' stopped ...
..turned into beats of the drum.

What this says to me it is your Heart winning out over your mind.
Does that make sense to you?
The drum to the Native American is the heart, it is the heart beat, it is what connects us to our true self.
So the pain was in your mind, where the memories of the Past live. But you can
let it go through your Heart, your heart can heal your mind. And in your Heart your true memories exist, they are the ones not bound by time or past. In your heart is all your answers and all your healing, all your good medicine.

Great little poem. Speaks so much about how people take their lives for granted.
