Some will call me selfish

But I am just taking care of me…

See

 If God in all His infinite Glory can asked to be put first..

Why shouldn’t I lift myself up?

 I am therefore made in His image…

Holy and set apart…

So yes I decide…

 to Love me..

Exceptionally well…

And sometimes that means saying no…

Sometimes, that means minding my own damn business…

 Or letting go…

 of the things and people I love the most.

And yes, It means I put Me first..

 I am not expecting worship,

But I praise Me…

 By becoming fully self supporting..

 Of my emotional and physical needs..

 Trusting God’s seeds

To grow me up…

So pardon me as I save me for a change…

 I reached out my hand to many men and women

And I will again…

Because that is who I Am…

Remember, I Am…

Made in His image..

 His likeness…

So I decided to be about Me

And made my own being my first priority…

Because it was time for me to pull away from the crowds...

That only reached out when in need

And left me hanging in the end…

I came to my Senses and decided

That in order to save you all from my wrath,

 That I best bask in my own shine for a while…

Cause I needed Love…

Love that was Divinely inspired and deeply enmeshed…

From my Higher Power…

 I grew up and decided

 

 How can I, first, be to you…

 what I have never been to me…

So I turned about 180 degrees and stood still

And I let Him rebuild me…

From the inside out...

My Kingdom grows and I decipher

 I am worth more than being the door mat you walk on…

A sporadic phone call when you are home alone…

Lost and afraid…

And on some days I may feel called to drop it all

And rescue You…

But on others my responsibility is first to me…

 So yes, I Am selfish…

Finally…

 I have every right to be and I delight in loving me

 For remember and see…

 I Am made in His image..
