Angel's Blush

Angel's Blush

A Poem by Choosing Life

Angels blush, listening to thoughts of us,

While laying blanketed under starry-eyed dusk.

The coming of two souls, commissioned.

We stumbled into our juxtaposition...

And Heaven applauded,

For we displayed it, just how God called it...

The coming of two words, You and I.

Lines three and four are the heart of this for me. The word 'commissioned' gives gravitas, as if it has been ordained by higher authority, and the word 'stumbled' suggests a natural inevitability in the nexus. The things those angels are privvy to! Another delightfully gentle one.
