A Strand In Time

A Strand In Time

A Poem by Choosing Life

I recognize your soul.

I can’t help it.

And if I believed in past life times

You would be the proof they are true.

It is like I know you and we touched...

But we both know we haven’t

at least in the conventional way

Yet, your soul is acquainted with mine

Has been since the first line

Was scribed and we stumbled

Into time

Virtually.

A connection made through the universe

Found us reaching beyond

What we understood.

We took an eternity break

And reality woke us up

To paths that had already been carved

Making our communion of flesh

Come to an end.

But I still recognize your soul...

And friends was all that we could be

But even that wasn’t possible

So it left us apart.

But even now we are not...

For what was shared was infinite

And each grain of time we shared

Elevated our present.

My wish is granted

When I know you are planted

Happily in your destiny...

And if the winds can carry you

Any thoughts from me

It should be

How proud I am that in this life

I knew the light of you.

What a beautiful poem! The description of the wistful, mystically transcendental bond between the two souls is lovely and heartwarming.

I love the font on this poem. There's an artful elegance to it.
