Certain Uncertainty

Certain Uncertainty

A Poem by Choosing Life

In this life
Uncertainty
Is certain
Trial will come
And trouble is waiting
People are fickle
Love is lost and found
Found and then lost
Within and with out
Things change
Death is natural
Almost as much as breathing
Life ends
And begins
At the same time
Nothing is normal
Not even a so called routine
For each step
Holds it’s own uniqueness
We are all selfish
Because letting go
Shouldn’t be hard
But we make it so rough
Because we forget
That each particle of life
Has a purpose to fill
And then it must move on
It changes shape
It changes form
Either it grows
Or dies
And most uncertainty
Is housed in the mind
Encased in our perception
And so fragile is our thinking
Based on doubts
We try to hide
And fears that disable us
But in uncertainty
One can be certain
That each breath
Is a new hope
That we can live
Live above and beyond
Malice intentions
And selfish ambitions
And give to another
 All that we know
All that we are
And all that we hope to be
Each second gifted
Is life
And through life
We can breed love
If only we can step
Lightly on this road
Careful of the soul s
We meet along the way
And through each step
Break the perimeters
Of the thoughts
That binds us to lies
And in that God will smile
Because Truth is of Him
And Love heals
What even our own hands tear down
And through this forgiveness
Begins to cover old wounds
